General Electric Lead HR Project Mgmt Specialist – Payroll in Schenectady, New York
Job Description Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a set of project deliverables across NAM Payroll, ensuring resource optimization across the team. You will also support key daily operational deliverables throughout People Operations TSA period, as appropriate.

Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for managing projects to support the delivery of HR Shared Services and company separation work, including implementing new processes, improving, and simplifying existing processes and tools.
Support key operational deliverables across the pay and tax area as required.
Facilitate and lead teams through large People Operations project phases in support of the overall company separation initiatives.
Participate in operational readiness activities for outsourced payroll provider and new business operations teams.
Consolidate and present information to assist in rapid decision making, using clear and concise data.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.Leveraging expertise in Payroll Operations Delivery
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Uses judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Human Resources & HR Operations Project Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED and with at least 6 years of combined related experience in project management, process improvement and HR Shared Service operational delivery) and at least 5 years of combined related experience in project management, process improvement and HR Shared Service operational delivery.
Desired Characteristics

Established project management skills and PMP Certification
Demonstrated ability to grow, coach and nurture others development
Experience in US/CAN payroll operations in a multistate/province shared service organization.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities at a time
Demonstrated ability to design and implement organizational improvements resulting in better efficiency, safety and quality through process standardization, research, and system enhancement.
Experience presenting and influencing at all levels of the organization.
