General Electric Lead Finance Specialist - Manufacturing Operations in Schenectady, New York

Role Summary:

Expanding role and huge opportunity to partner with On-Shore Wind Americas Supply Chain team to drive outcomes. Come develop your skills with our Supply Chain Finance team and play a key role in defining Cash Management for this exciting segment of the Renewables market.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Lead Finance Specialist - Manufacturing Operations, you will:

  • Own wing to wing process for Americas cash management

  • Direct & indirect disbursement timing

  • Down payment & progress collection timing

  • Pacing & variances

  • Partner with Global GSC AP team to implement process improvements to identify & execute on disbursement opportunities (payment terms, reverse factoring, etc)

  • Partner with America Commercial Finance team to understand and pace collections & help identify opportunities for improvements

  • Develop and execute timely reporting package for all AP / Cash related reporting needs for Americas CFO & CEO, including gross & net cash presentation, direct & indirect cash flows and associated walks for FCF & CFOA

  • Work in conjunction with Inventory Finance leader & Global GSC team on lead time reduction actions & pace / monitor impact on reported cash and associated flows

  • Engage in & own quarter & annual closing activities specifically related to working capital

  • Relentlessly seek to simplify, improve, upgrade & harmonize processes across scope, in sync with extended business teams

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance)

  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Finance

Desired Characteristics:

  • Supply chain finance experience in an industrial environment, with proven analytical & communication skills background

  • Controllership experience desired

  • Agile, curious, fast learner individual

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functionally

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
