General Electric Lead Contract Performance Analyst in Schenectady, New York

Role Summary:

The Wind Services Lead Contract Performance Analyst will plan and execute detailed contract reviews, deep dives and portfolio analyses. In this role, you will serve as a key resource on the Renewables Services Risk & Contractual Services team, focusing on analysis of contract compliance and performance versus expectation, profitable execution of long term service contracts, portfolio risk assessments and helping to continuously simplify, automate and improve our risk measurement processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Lead Contract Performance Analyst, you will:

  • Support creation of the annual contract margin review schedule for all poles, focusing on highest risk, $ value and number of units, and ensuring regional availability to support

  • Execute the Wind Services global Contract Margin Review (CMR) process for assigned long-term service contracts

  • Lead contract performance and portfolio analysis, including cost model validation, cost model updates quantification, staffing / headcount, sub-contractor cost, etc.

  • Own CSA Policy 6.0, including gathering data, defining and generating metrics, identify risks in the contractual services portfolio and developing / implementing mitigations to reduce risk

  • Work with site and regional contract owners to ensure operational execution is compliant with contractual scope

  • Lead contract deep-dive pre-reviews, anticipating and facilitating conversation around the areas of risk that the business should be focusing on

  • Create and own quarterly CMR / Risk review summary of findings; support presentation of findings to senior leadership

  • Lead follow up of applicable action items identified in the CMR presentation

  • Identify and implement contract management and CMR best practices

  • Lead and participate in contract margin review process improvements / simplification (e.g., global consistency, cross-functional accountability, and process documentation)

  • Lead field services training globally on the CMR process

  • Support and improve ITO to OTR contract handover process, and facilitate New Contract Reviews

  • Identify gaps in as-sold and recent cost models to executed site costs and drive updates to the cost model with cost model owner to improve overall cost model accuracy

  • Identify and support the development of business systems to improve OTR contract management

  • Manage contract summary data in Salesforce and/or applicable contract management systems

  • Establish, improve and drive global processes across poles, including forging relationships with global teams

  • Support automation projects and projects to improve risk and contract analysis / documentation tools

  • Contribute to development of contract review methodology & processes to support new products and offerings, including PowerUp

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Services)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Modeling Analysis

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond the surface and to develop and execute improvement plans; results oriented

  • Advanced level Excel and Powerpoint experience, particularly pivot tables, advanced lookups, charts and data mining

  • Financial Management Program (FMP) graduate or equivalent leadership / development program

  • Ability to influence and gain commitment from peers and others within the organization

  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion

  • Track record of challenging the status quo and curiosity to learn new skills

  • Strong interpersonal / leadership skills and a team player
