Role Summary/Purpose:

The Executive – Project Controls role will be responsible for risk identification and mitigation related to extended scope, turnkey, and other high-risk project activities, business investments, and enterprise risks. As a critical member of the GE Vernova Risk Management team, he/she will apply their expertise and collaborative leadership skills in supporting risk assessments of new opportunities, improving the execution performance of active high-risk projects, and engaging in the identification and mitigation of enterprise risks across the operating businesses.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition to direct engagement in the core activities of the Risk Management team describe above, this role also includes the following responsibilities:

  • Partner with Risk Management colleagues in the GE Vernova corporate team as well as in each of the operating businesses to support the Project Review Board process, policy and administration. Including providing feedback and recommendations on both a transactional and systemic basis.

  • Engage in project review activities in support of the GE Vernova businesses executing large, complex projects. Provide both transactional and systemic recommendations to improve execution and deliver better project outcomes.

  • Provide insights and expertise in the identification and assessment of Enterprise Risks applicable to GE Vernova as well as the development, implementation, and monitoring of mitigation plans.

  • Collaborate with the business units and project execution teams to develop guidelines and best practices which cover the life cycle of an Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) project from development through execution. 

  • Evaluate available project controls training materials and tools and provide business teams with feedback and recommendations on systemic improvement.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering-related or Business-related discipline

  • 10+ yrs of Projects community experience in Power Generation industry

  • 10+ yrs of experience with EPC, Turnkey, and complexextended scope projects

  • Strong project management skills in a matrix and multiple business environments

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages

  • Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role

  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills at all levels including senior business leaders

  • Global experience and mindset including high cultural competence and sensitivity

If contracted in the US:

The base salary range for this position is $170,000- $350,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
