General Electric Compliance Operations Leader - Wind in Schenectady, New York
Job Description Summary
The Compliance Operations role will be responsible for developing and managing core compliance processes and the compliance assurance program including risk assessments, training and communications, monitoring and testing, third party compliance and implementing corrective actions. The role will be based in Onshore Wind and will report to the Chief Compliance Officer for GE Vernova Wind business. The work completed in this role will provide a better understanding of strategic compliance risks, both compliance and operational processes and policy needs that will mitigate future risks. This knowledge will be shared with the global compliance teams in order to recommend and support the implementation of new processes, trainings, communication, controls and other corrective actions.

Essential Responsibilities
Conduct annual and ongoing compliance risk assessment processes based on business organization, relevant industry regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Participate in and support ancillary risk assessment processes led by ERM, Finance, Internal Audit, SoX etc.
Execute due diligence and compliance onboarding processes, for higher risk commercial 3rd parties like channel partners, customers, consortium partners, high risk suppliers including government facing vendors, project site contractors, custom brokers etc. as per GE Vernova’s ‘Know Your Commercial Party/Supplier’ Standards.
Develop, administer and track compliance training and communications in partnership with the business Compliance leaders, functional leaders and Communications team to deliver engaging, relevant content that addresses business risks and promotes open reporting culture.
Implement a comprehensive compliance assurance program that encompasses regular review of requirements set forth in the Enterprise Standards identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
Establish mechanisms for transactional testing and monitoring for areas related to improper payments and third-party risks including business courtesies, high risk payments, commissions and discounts, onboarding screening and diligence and other processes. Understand and identify any breakdowns against current procedures as well as highlight risks and control gaps.
Roll-up results into metrics that analyses trends, risks and gaps.
Work with the overall compliance team as well as cross functional teams to develop and implement remediation to these breakdowns that not only mitigate the risks but also work operationally to support the business.
Support Wind Chief Compliance Officer to lead improvement of processes and controls and ensure that the business implements and abides by our compliance program.
Establish KPIs for compliance processes and monitor progress.
Continually review and evaluate laws and regulations and their impact on Wind and the regions.
Assist with all other compliance-related duties and special projects as identified by the individual or as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 7 years of compliance, legal, Ombuds, or similar relevant experience
Minimum of 2 years of audit, testing & monitoring or similar relevant experience

The salary range for this position is $141,800 - $236,400 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus.
