As the Analytics Product Manager, you will serve as the conduit between analytics development and operational impact. You will leverage your strong connection skills to build bridges between teams of operational stakeholders, data scientists, and product development teams while removing roadblocks to achieve analytics success. You will also serve as champion of creating the vision of future analytics products and developing the conceptual and business side of the analytics value stream.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with highly motivated individuals like yourself to solve complex and interesting data problems that are impactful to our internal and external customers

  • Use your product and program management skills to drive the development of scalable analytics products that create value and efficiencies

  • Proactively engage business partners to determine analytic needs and build strong working relationships to materialize outcomes from inception through implementation

  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to establish prioritized analytics roadmaps and implement strategies for executing, measuring progress, and communicating results

  • Drive collaboration and integration across data science, product teams, operational teams, and internal and external customers to formulate and execute the strategy

  • Identify operational risks and assist technical teams in removing roadblocks (including, but not limited to data acquisition, cross-functional coordination, field validation, etc.) that would otherwise impact analytics success

  • Ensure the success and adoption of analytics deployed in production environments, training and providing support to internal and external stakeholders

  • Communicate program updates, risks and new opportunities to leaders and stakeholders, identifying dependencies and perform risk/change management on projects

  • Serve as a data evangelist, championing deployment of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and advanced physics-based analytics techniques

  • Develop relationships with partners, customers and technical experts across industries and geographies

  • Help drive process and tool optimization to deliver products on-time and on-budget

  • Define, lead, and execute the vision for data science products, which includes researching user pain points and opportunities to increase productivity savings, defining metrics that guarantee success, and creating the solutions that will address pain points and savings.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product / project management, strategic consulting, or a related field requiring analytical skills and a strategic mindset

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data-focused capacity (i.e. data science, data engineering, analysis, modeling)

Desired Characteristics

  • Hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of analytics development

  • Experience with agile methodologies (i.e. SAFE)

  • Experience in defining architecture diagrams for analytic teams

  • Proven record of strong analytical and problem-solving skills ­ effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve

  • Experience with implementing a rigorous process for software compliance

  • Experience with R, Python, and SQL

  • Renewable Energy experience

  • Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills

  • Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, and identifies new opportunities based on trends

  • Identifies the customer’s business and strategic needs, concerns, and desires for the value delivery capabilities of the products

  • Establishes relationships in the market intelligence and research community

  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses

  • Proven record of assessing the state of the art of technology and conducting a competitive analysis

  • Experience developing strategies for creating a patent portfolio

  • Adopts a holistic systems perspective. Empathizes with multiple points of view.

  • Challenges program / product planning assumptions

  • Ability to work with and influence cross­functional teams to help build effective processes

  • Oriented around continuous improvement­ actively generating process improvements; championing and driving change initiatives
