As VAT Analyst for GO you will be responsible to execute routine daily deliverables related to VAT compliance (computation and reporting), as well to support the VAT accounting activities across the region. Gather documentation within defined timelines. VAT analyst takes direction from a team leader.
Calculation of sales taxes (IPI, ICMS, PIS/COFINS, ISS)
Preparation of sales tax books and other related obligations (SPED Fiscal, EFD Contribuições, DIRF, DCTF, GIA etc)
WHT activities especially: reporting, payment and filing obligations (PIS/COFINS/CSLL/ INSS/IRRF/ISS)
Assist in the analysis of tax documents for accuracy using thorough and in-depth knowledge of tax regulations
Keep updated on sales tax rules changes
Ensure the adequacy of the business VAT reporting processes by evaluating relevant policies and procedures for efficiency and transparency
Collaborate with finance and business operations personnel to resolve any problems
Attend internal and external auditors, as well as Tax Authorities audits by interacting with Corporate Tax and Business Tax team along the Tax audits process supporting the data gathering
BS in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 7 years of tax or finance experience role preferably
Comprehensive knowledge of the country tax system including the local documentation and filing requirements.
Experience of audit & tax process, ability to work with external auditors and tax advisors
Strong knowledge of tax Compliance issues, including all regulatory compliance environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite(Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Proficiency in ERP (Oracle or SAP) and Fiscal Solutions (Syncrho, Mastersaf and related)
Experience with USGaap and IFRS rules
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
