General Electric Region Strategic Marketing Leader (Latin America) in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Job Description Summary

The Region Strategic Marketing Leader will work closely with the Central Marketing team & Region Leader to assess the market, identify areas for growth, support key strategic initiatives and work on regional and global processes.

The individual is the key regional contributor driving all of the Strategic marketing initiatives and providing deep business analysis to support growth of the business in the LATAM region. The individual can be based anywhere in Latin America and will interact with all regional stakeholders, Country Leads, Product Lines and HQ leadership team.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Region Marketing:

  • Support Region Leader on Market vs. Pipeline growth

  • Region specific growth actions

  • Lead generation

Drive Grid Solutions Long Term Strategy (LTS) and position region

  • Coordinate and drive overall process for the region, in line with global process

  • Build External Context (What’s the Game) – via reports and publications

  • Support Business Development (BD) topics – as needed

  • Position GE’s Grid Solutions business for GE Corporate in the region

REO (Renewable Energy Outlook)

  • Evaluate market sizes, growth rates & shares

  • by product line, regions, segments

  • Identify key GAPS to work on – align with technology

  • Refresh & follow up of GAP actions

VOC (Voice of Customer)

  • Identify Top Jobs to be done

  • Energy Transition needs and how we can capitalize on them

  • Our Performance vs. competition

Identify and highlight key market trends –

  • 3rd party reports analysis

  • Follow country specific policies and translate how they impact our business

  • Industry insights

  • New technology e.g. g3

Stay on top of key competitor moves in the region

  • Key competitor moves

  • Footprint analysis

  • Quarterly benchmarks

  • Financial releases analysis

  • Competitor profiles/ battle cards

Experience and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Grid Solutions business, market & players

  • Proactive contributor that thinks outside the box

  • Excellent computer literacy – Excel, PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Robust experience in Marketing, Commercial, sales operations or sales support

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a large, multicultural, international matrix organization

  • Experience working in a changing environment and a “can do” attitude

  • University degree in Engineering, Business or similar fields

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese, verbal and written
