General Electric Channel Sales Compliance Intern in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Role Summary:

The Channel Sales Compliance Intern will support the Americas Commercial Compliance and Channel Partner teams in order to drive customer and intermediaries’ related-activities, maintain operational efficiency and support on process enhancements. Those tasks must ensure commercial compliance and accountability to keep the risk profile within the region and business norms and standards as well as ensuring Company’s commitments are fulfilled.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support commercial compliance and channel team on operating commission/fee payment process to intermediaries thru online tools according to standard operating procedures and business policy.

  • Lead metrics related to commission/fee payments to intermediaries on a monthly and quarterly basis by connecting with operating business units.

  • Ensure a culture of integrity and compliance within channel partners through assisting commercial compliance activities such as: onboarding, contract renewal/non-renewal/termination, document control and training.

  • Liaise with commercial and finance to keep channel partner past dues and credit check metrics up to date and follow up on action plans.

  • Assist commercial compliance on consolidating regional dashboards related to customer risk profile on deals and opportunities through commercial platform.

  • Partner with commercial compliance to conduct audit on know your customer, channel partner onboarding and commission payment processes as well developing key initiatives to ensure corrective actions and process enhancements.

  • Adhere to GE and GE Renewable Energy compliance policies, codes and training requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Coursing last 2 years of bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Industrial Engineering or related field.

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.

  • Coordination and influencing skills to set and drive process change.

  • Customer, risk and detail-oriented mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to internal and external customer needs.

  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to assess data and trends using both quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.

  • Analytical and creative with excellent ability to identify and present risks/controls and concerns/solutions in a concise and simple manner.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & work to deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and ability to communicate with employees of all levels.

  • Have an excellent work ethic, organization skills, the desire to learn and is not afraid to ask questions.

  • Lead important projects on channel partner and commission payment process which need to be thoroughly tracked.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with expert skills in MS Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables), Access, and PowerPoint.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Fluent in Spanish.

  • Knowledgeable in ERP sales and distribution modules and commercial platforms (SAP/Oracle/SalesForce).

  • Power/Energy industry experience.
