Job Description Summary
GE Healthcare Digital is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our our Edison AI Services team delivering core services and technologies that empower software teams across GE Healthcare to rapidly create and deliver artificial intelligence-enabled software solutions. You will be responsible for design and development of a component, feature and/or feature set of the our Edison AI Services.

In this role, you will:
Develop high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end web applications across product releases to see the impact of your work on real customers
Collaborate with system engineers, front-end developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software & Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring & Testing techniques
Understand high-level objectives. translate to technical requirements and propose solutions
Responsible to develop and test (unit/component) software components, application packaging and maintenance of software repositories
Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Work on core data structures, algorithms and implement them using language of choice
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Software development or 3 years with Master’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA
Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services or Azure
Experience with building scalable applications using Python and use of popular Python web frameworks
Hands-on experience in building REST API and microservices, logging and troubleshooting
Experience with No SQL database such as Dynamo DB, Cassandra or MongoDB
Experience in Container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.
Should be fluent in SQL with experience in testing applications that utilize databases
Experience with Continuous Integration using Jenkins, Maven, Git, etc.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with designing and creating Web based software platforms is a big plus
Experience in building & deployment of scalable & highly available distributed systems
Experience in API management tools like AWS API Gateway, Apigee is a plus.
Experience in Medical Imaging is a plus
