General Electric Sr Director - Digital Product Management in San Ramon, California

Role Summary:

The Sr. Director, Digital Product Management is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of the converged digital services portfolio, including but not limited to: support services, professional services, operational and adoption services, education services, and advisory.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a domain expert for your portfolio, you will engage customers at mid-level management and technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer & industry direction and execute strategy.

As the Sr. Director, you will elevate how we engage with internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of digital services from GE Digital, making recommendations on extending software services solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts

  • Drive a converged service portfolio from concept, to market, to end of life

  • Rationalize existing service portfolio to create a continuum and eliminate overlap in offers to reduce internal competition

  • Provide deliverable plan with assigned core team to identify profitable services offerings (new and extensions to existing offerings)

  • Ensure offerings meet addressable markets by analyzing industry research, competitive data and voice of the customer

  • Collaborate with product management to ensure services strategy is aligned with product roadmap

  • Develop cohesive value based pricing strategy and articulate financial probability of service offer

  • Define and explore revenue recognition best practices for converged offer delivery

  • Ensure operation and delivery teams are capable of fulfilling orders and providing service capabilities defined in the offering

  • Develop and implement sales enablement programs to support the positioning of services in the marketplace

  • Responsible for product line performance with targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin. Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities

  • Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions

  • Participate in events and industry associations to influence the direction for the business and technology in the segment

  • Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor high performance team of Product Managers

  • Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy

  • Global travel required as necessary

  • This role is responsible for a large product or portfolio of products/solutions with typical revenue influence / target in the range of $50-200M USD per year Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or Business Management

  • Preferred MBA (with concentration in marketing, financial management/operations or strategic management/planning, or equivalent experience)

  • A minimum of 15 years of product management experience Eligibility Requirements:
