General Electric Partner Program Director in San Ramon, California

Role Summary:

We are looking for a vibrant, experienced self-starter to fill the role of Partner Program Director. This Program Director plays a key leadership role to build consensus and drive a unified programmatic approach in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented environment. The Program Director will develop and maintain the partner program for our System Integrator (SI) and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) partners, along with the management of other components of the global partner program.

Essential Responsibilities:

He or she will publish program criteria, maintain program benefits for our various partner types and drive the execution of strategic business initiatives including program launches and content creation. The ideal candidate has the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, to ensure that the teams he/she works with successfully deliver on commitments. This role will be responsible for the build of our competency framework for SI and ISV partners globally. This may include improving and expanding existing partner program elements, as well as designing and architecting new program, sales and service models serving these partner types. The Partner Program Director will be focused on activities and initiatives that represent GE Digital Ecosystem & Channels Program, which may include; recruit prospective partners, ensure an optimum program experience from regular partner coaching/mentoring all the way through annual program membership renewal. This includes ensuring partners take advantage of the benefits and resources made available through the GE Digital Ecosystem & Channels Program during the first stage of the partnership. In addition to contributing to worldwide partner program initiatives, responsibilities include assisting with reseller program tiering, benefit and requirement setting. This role requires an individual who is confident, dynamic, poised, polished, and a self-starter. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own defining benefits and requirements of each program or competency and drive alignment acrossinternal stakeholders as required in order to deliver said benefits and enforce requirements.

  • Drive ongoing revenue growth and improve competencies by building and managing tiered global partner programs with clear scoring, criteria and benefits by tier and region.

  • Collaborate with partner operations to ensure sustainable and scalable process exists to support partner lifecycle and program elements.

  • Develop partner facing program content for the global partner programs and utilize the Partner Portal as the main publishing platform for all such content.

  • Track milestones and tasks with assigned teams.

  • Orchestrate the efforts of cross functional teams to execute program enhancements and changes in support of strategic program initiatives

  • Maintain healthy, active communications with the partner ecosystem to ensure open and transparent engagement.

  • Map out the overall partner ecosystem for GE Digital: identify the relevant players as well as potential relationships and then construct additional and alternative distribution strategies.

  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to identify, develop, and roll out new processes when appropriate.

  • Tailor program benefits to the needs of partners by working with internal stakeholders and directly with partners to gather information and quickly grasp their business and technical requirements.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels and across multiple job functions inside and outside of the Alliances organization Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business/sales operations/analytics, or other strategic commercial role.

  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completedEligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel (35%)

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon or anywhere in the continental U.S. Desired Characteristics:

  • Familiarity with partner management tools, such as Salesforce.com CRM and channel portals.

  • Must be a detail-oriented individual with strong organization skills

  • Experience working with and understanding legal alliance agreements

  • Ability to architect and build new channel programs. And, enhance or improve existing channel programs.

  • Possess an understanding of program benefit and requirement models that support partner practice growth and expansion.
