General Electric Sr Finance Analyst - SW Revenue in San Francisco, California

Role Summary:

The Sr. Finance Analyst, SW Revenue will be required to partner with business leadership and their teams in coming up with plans and execution strategies to deliver revenue plan. The analyst will develop and lead finance processes that support the organization’s goal of delivering Revenue growth in SaaS and protecting license portfolios. The role will closely work with the product and commercial teams in driving topline growth and coming up with recommendations to monetize investments.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the role will support the finance managers for APM and BMS/Automation on key financial analysis and help develop controls that meet business needs across the global Applications organization, including:

  • Develop backlog validation process, build and maintain backlog, and build revenue schedule.

  • Develop automation capabilities to build backlog in the most efficient way

  • Develop growth requirements using backlog and define growth targets

  • Closely work with business operations team to recognize revenue from SaaS and License orders on a timely basis.

  • Partner with IT to build dashboards on Revenue leakage and engage operations and accounting to devise ways to eliminate revenue leakage

  • Build SaaS renewal scorecard, enhance process to capture and track all renewal opportunities. Partner with Support to capture 100% license deals on Support contract.

  • Support financial close by estimating revenue each quarter and delivering committed revenue

  • Support finance simplification projects and process enhancements to shift the balance from data compilation to data analysis to come up with growth insights. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 2+ years’ relevant finance experienceEligibility Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products Desired Characteristics:

  • FMP / CAS

  • Experience with Software development firm including start-ups

  • Proven project management experience, including coordinating multiple people / projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated analytical and modeling capabilities

  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, and Hyperion

  • Comfortable working in matrixed and global environments
