General Electric Sr Director - Digital Product Management in San Francisco, California

Role Summary:

As our Sr Director - Digital Product Management, you will report to the VP - Digital Product Management for Power Digital Solutions and be responsible for defining and supporting efforts to ensure the Commercial Products capabilities meet the needs and contractual commitments of our customers. As the Sr Director - Digital Product Management, you will elevate how we engage with customers and target our Product offering to ensure contractual compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of capabilities from GE Power, making recommendations on extending the Predix platform, and representing GE Power to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.

As our Sr Director - Digital Product Management you will also:

  • Application of a KPI based metric/dashboard suite for the PDS business. A subset of the overall Projects metrics will be execution and operationally biased toward cost management, cycle, quality and specifically fulfilment measurement.

  • Global cross functional responsibility for the PDS projects fulfilment.

  • Identify, qualify, capture and deliver opportunities for Customer Funded Development of product features/functionality

  • Forward planning of product resource requirements based upon business objectives and in conjunction with stakeholders

  • Ensure common and optimized process procedures/tools are in place to drive flawless execution

  • Implement metrics and identify performance issues and provide the leadership to resolve issues and ensure the success

  • Contribute to overall Power Digital portfolio and product strategy

  • Leverage overall Power Digital portfolio and product strategy to create a detailed product release plan balancing internal productivity and customer commitments

  • Work with all areas of the product management and software development lifecycle to deliver differentiated products. This position will strategically work to define and develop business plans, financial projections, and product positioning

  • Responsible for implementing the full product development lifecycle process, including facilitating business planning, strategic partnerships, collateral, and strategic prospects

  • Responsible for working with business to develop go-to-market plans for GE Digital solutions

  • Work across Power Digital, Power Services, Customer Success and GE Digital to develop detailed analysis of customer needs and development capacity to achieve commercial success and a competitive advantage within the industry Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience developing and managing software within an Agile environment - promoting iterative and incremental software development techniques

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in software development and delivery and implementation for the Energy Sector Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA Desired Characteristics:

  • Firm understanding of utility power generation ¬ across different fuel sources

  • Demonstrate knowledge on utility commercialization market excellence

  • Prior experience as a consultant, product manager, or solution manager for asset management solutions

  • Highly collaborative with effective teaming and problem solving abilities

  • All confirmed customer product commitments are scheduled for delivery.

  • Published and tracked prioritized customer-commitment feature list for all PDS products

  • Defined resource allocation and assignment process that documents and ensures product releases supports customer schedule commitments.
