General Electric Senior Wind Turbine Aerodynamics Engineer (f/m) in Salzbergen, Germany
The Onshore Wind Engineering Aero and Acoustics team is responsible for wind turbine aerodynamics incl. blade aerodynamic design, aero performance, blade aeroacoustics and turbine acoustics. The Aero and Acoustics team is seeking for support in the field of wind turbine aerodynamics, in particular aerodynamic simulation methods.
Maintain and further develop the BEM aero kernel within the Wind turbine MBS environment
Develop, implement and validate a vortex line method within the Wind turbine MBS environment
Lead strategic initiative(s) to improve the accuracy of wind turbine system simulation aerodynamics
Support product design and validation
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
Experience in wind turbine aerodynamics and operability
Experience in aerodynamic simulation methods
System or product-level mindset
Experience in wind turbine rotor aerodynamics
Software development experience
Preferred programming languages: Python, Matlab, C
MBS experience (preferably Simpack)
Experience in aerodynamics wind tunnel or field testing
Track record of solving tough technical problems
Strong technical acumen, hands on problem solver
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
