General Electric HR Manager (f/m/d) - Onshore Wind, Germany in Salzbergen, Germany

Job Description Summary

In this role, you work at the heart of the energy transition within our Onshore Wind business, located in Salzbergen. This is one of our key locations in Europe, where we develop & manufacture Onshore Wind turbines and from where we provide training & services to our customers.

You will work as part of an engaged team of HR professionals on national and international HR matters, projects & initiatives. Your daily scope will include leading the labour relations agenda within a non-tariff environment, working in close & trustful cooperation with employee representatives on collective consultations and legal entity wide initiatives. You will also lead talent development initiatives, ensure consistency in our talent management practices and lead & support HR projects at national and international level.

This role reports to the HR Director Onshore Wind Germany and International Functions and interacts with business leadership teams, people leaders, employee representatives as well as a very active international HR community. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support & lead HR-related activities for the German legal entity and site, including ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws, other statutory obligations and GE policies

  • Lead trustful & effective cooperation with employee representatives including negotiation of collective agreements in cooperation with external legal counsel, as required

  • Provide advice to people leaders and HR partners to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment

  • Conduct HR training and support for key people processes and regarding local regulation

  • Develop and lead talent development programs and initiatives, working in close alignment with global Talent & Learning teams

  • Drive consistent talent management practices at the Germany level in close collaboration with functional HR partners

  • Drive for consistent people practices applying LEAN principles and tools (e.g. daily visual management linked to people strategy & KPIs, problem solving reviews)

  • Develop, implement and lead key people and HR projects and initiatives in line with business and global HR priorities, at national and international level including employee engagement, performance management, talent management & career development, compensation and employee relations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Several years' working experience in the Human Resources function, ideally as HR Generalist / HR Manager

  • Experience in and solid knowledge in the application of German labour law and local labour rules & regulations, including experience in collaboration with employee representatives

  • Excellent collaboration, project management, organizational and change agent skills

  • Fluent German and English

  • Demonstrated experience and achievements in rolling-out talent management, learning & development and/or culture & engagement initiatives and programs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working in an international, matrixed work environment

  • Proven presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex matters in a clear and concise way

  • Resilient person with the ability to work in changing environments and high tolerance for ambiguity and change
