Job Description Summary
The Control Configuration Engineer is part of the CCO-TSO EMEA Team. The primary focus is to improve the tracking and delivery of turbine configurations to our operating wind turbine fleet throughout the full life cycle of these assets. This team will have a huge impact on the operational performance of our GE Wind Turbine Fleet due software upgrades and match control configuration
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Main goal of this role is to improve the tracking and delivery of turbine configurations to our operating wind turbine fleet throughout the full life cycle of these assets
Independent technical support to customers and employees by telephone or ticketing system and provision of technical information.
Be able to master the current operating state and pull together strong operation procedures to ensure the level of detail and rigor required to deliver high accuracy, high volume configurations to both our commissioning and operating turbines.
This role is highly cross-functional working globally across Design Engineering, Commissioning, Field Services, and the Fleet Reliability Organizations
Quickly develop deep subject matter expertise on all components of the Wind Turbine configuration such as parameter values, XML files, special pitch and converter control card settings
Participate in the ownership of the Core Parameter Management Utility Tools and Service Technician Parameter Security Specification
Improve the tracking and delivery of turbine configurations to our operating wind turbine fleet throughout the full life cycle of these assets
Participate and lead local/global projects to develop and maintain productivity tools and metrics.

Required Qualifications
Certified Technician / Power plan electronics / Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent education
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English and German
Ability to take decisions and to adopt responsibility
Experience with direct customer contact
Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
Willingness for permanent further education
Ability to work with multicultural Teams, strong Team player and communicative
Superior analytical skills, with strong desire to improve processes and performance
Previous experience with leading cross functional projects
Strong communication and project leadership skills with ability to clearly communicate issues and resolution to both a technical and non-technical audience
Deep technical expertise with ability to identify and resolve technical issues
Proven ability to work under pressure and challenging conditions
Good computer and Office skills
Desired Characteristics
Multiple years of technical experience in Wind Industry
Six Sigma knowledge
Working knowledge of the GE Mark VIe control system software, including Control System Toolbox, Workstation ST and the EGD communication protocol
Previous experience with PLM, DWB, GR, and Wind Configuration Collector
Previous experience with database structures, management, and queries
Ability to develop structured work methods
