Job Description Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide multi-functional leadership and strategic
direction for GEHC Surgery for remanufacturing, refurbishing and installed based (IB).

Define and implement the vision and strategic plan for GEHC Surgery for refurbishing and the installed based (IB).
Collaborate with leaders in Surgery and from other parts of GEHC.
Identify and qualify Surgery products for refurbishing based on compliance criteria and value of trade-in and resale or harvesting opportunity to Surgery.
Establish and maintain trade-in policy, procedure, and valuation to optimize recovery of targeted used Surgery IB systems while supporting replacement sales transactions.
Work with internal and third-party channels to provide trade-in values and resale processes for non-GE Surgery systems where necessary to support GE replacement of competitive sockets.
Establish and maintain third-party equipment dealer contacts and relationships to gauge system fair market values and to provide outlets for competitive and excess GE return volume.
Drive part harvesting strategy for re-use in service and forward production and lead and execute core management strategy to ensure maximum return of desired used parts and systems from the global IB.
Identify and quantify global markets for refurbished Surgery systems and work with segment, region and sub-region leaders to optimize global remarketing of refurbished products. Drive market access and advocacy efforts as needed.
Coordinate efforts with supply chain, region leadership and GEHC Healthcare Systems (HCS) GoldSeal team to benchmark, share, create and execute global refurbishing and remanufacturing strategy, including site selection and production set-up and transfer.
Own pricing strategy and evaluate and recommend distribution approach to ensure optimal liquidation of returned system inventory, working with segment and region leadership on new/used portfolio balance.
Coordinate with HCS GoldSeal team wherever appropriate to share processes, market advocacy efforts, facilities, distribution, and expertise.
Build appropriate business team as volume and complexity grow.
Define refurbishing marketing and manufacturing requirements to ensure profitability of business line. Achieve targeted volume and profit margin rates.
Ensure customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers as required and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is reflected in work processes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
8+ years experience in product marketing, development, service, manufacturing or related field
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
Proven ability to work globally
MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
10+ years experience in product marketing, product development or related field
Deep Product Management/Marketing expertise, including: market trends/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, product life-cycle management,
Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen
Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports
Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy
Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers.
