Role Summary:

You will have global business ownership across GE Transportation to strategically drive and execute all Talent Acquisition requirements. Responsible for driving a progressive talent acquisition mindset, you will drive a strategic approach to wing to wing recruiting across the team. Lead the GE team members who partner with the business to identify and build delivery plans to source and select the best talent for GE.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own Talent Acquisition strategy and execution for a global business or complex & varied regional team

  • Provide leadership and vision for the organization within a matrixed environment. Manage direct team of senior professionals and leaders. Structure own management team in a simple way to manage the matrix and ensure highest performance delivery

  • Design organizational structure to enable the function to work strategically

  • Align to global recruitment standards (including full adherence to compliance processes), drive simplification, efficiency and technology optimization, provide leadership and coaching to the team

  • Stakeholders include TA team members, business leaders/executives and Human Resources leaders

  • Own consolidated team OP & costs effectively. Delegate responsibility of budget & spend as appropriate

  • Define & manage service level agreements that cover key deliverables to clients; drive closure and delivery on current vacancies according to defined metrics including quality, speed and cost

  • Use excellent consultative account management, influence and change management skills with business partners and stakeholders at the highest organizational levels

  • Develop relationships with business leaders to identify strategies and align TA goals across multiple locations

  • Develop plans to manage change, mitigate risk and leverage opportunities and advise the business appropriately

  • Define and implement a talent strategy to fulfill business growth, using insightful market data & internal knowledge

  • Establish team priorities, embed a global team mindset and align to strategic and operational business goals

  • Set best practices in process & technology based on external benchmarking. Consider market trends and network with appropriate industry leaders. Monitor industry dynamics & market trends and anticipate how these trends will impact GE

  • Maintain responsibility of the direction & impact of strategic partnerships through technical, financial, contractual and relationship management. Envision and drive critical partnership alignment with organization's business strategy

  • Provide expert insight on sourcing, market trends, best practice in the recruitment process with the support of team

  • Manage own “brand” both internally and externally to develop, maintain and enhance credibility

  • Demonstrate strategic thought leadership, vision and innovation to drive performance

  • Inspire, retain and develop exceptional leaders to maintain a world class organization

  • Instill & develop a high-performing team environment. Lead the development and education of the team

  • Set/change direction at the enterprise level by building and using direct and indirect support for ideas

  • Be guardian & champion of the candidate journey and the HM experience

  • Lead initiatives around diversity strategy to attract a diverse workforce to GE


  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 12 years of demonstrated recruiting domain expertise, budget management and extensive leadership experience
