Role Summary:
As a member of the Development team, the Associate will work closely with all functional groups in the organization and lead in the execution of solar and energy projects in various stages of development. He or she will be expected to gather information from multiple sources and analyze the financial and technical feasibilities of solar projects for various properties and client types.
Essential Responsibilities:
In addition, the East Coast Development Associate will :
Drive customer engagement and manage internal deal teams from initial meetings and conceptual pitches to firm contracts and contract signatures
Lead internal financial analysis of new and developing opportunities and the identification and integration of new model improvements
Interface with finance professionals at GE Energy Financial Services, utilities, funds and other institutional investors to discuss project particulars and optimizepricing
Work with engineering department to develop utility interconnection submittal packages
Assist in contract negotiations with financing partners and energy off-takers
Increase efficiency in the diligence process through streamlined diligence lists, improved data-room structuring and other tools
Building and distributing financing partner guidance to help drive operational efficiencies across the business
Researching federal and state solar incentive programs for incorporation into analyses
Supporting sales initiatives and leads through market research, financial modeling, pitch and proposal content creation

Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of project development or finance experience ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated project development or finance experience, preferably with a developer / investment firm in the renewable energy space
Proven ability to quickly and accurately run complex financial models using thoughtful assumptions
Creativity to transform raw data into presentations with an eye on design and accuracy, while conveying the intended value proposition
Track-record of working on teams to support energy, infrastructure or real estate projects
Being a team-player is key
Extensive financial modeling experience
Expertise with all MS Office products
