General Electric Senior Global Supply Chain Manager - Fulfillment in Salem, Virginia
Role Summary:Lead team responsible for finished goods & sub-component fulfillment. Oversee planning, coordination, & expediting flow of materials (from suppliers & within team) according to forecasts, production schedules, & build plans. Chief liaison between fulfillment team & customers, commercial teams, engineering teams, & product line leadership. Develop & executes long-term strategies focused on process improvement, lead time reduction, & effective positioning of working capital (inventory).
Essential Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of product fulfillment throughout product life-cycle, from new product introduction (NPI) to last time buy (LTB). Leads the fulfillment team in setting execution targets and/or KPIs, ensures the same are aligned with business-level expectations. Lead the team in forecast development, including execution of PSI rhythm with customer planners and purchasing teams. Oversee the team’s operating rhythm including production schedule reviews, financial reviews, inventory reviews and process improvement/cost out reviews. Oversee the team’s daily standard work. Contribute to overall business programs by engaging with business leaders and cross-functional team leaders through active relationship building. Lead team & supplier development & knowledge transfer through training, technical problem-solve, & Lean toolkit deployment. Build and execute supplier and team member development programs that are aligned with business objectives, team member goals, and appropriate needs-assessments.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain/Sourcing, or Materials Planning and Execution
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs and/or projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
Experience in a high-product-mix operating environment preferred.
Experience with lean terminology and tools.
