General Electric Process Engineer - Hot Ops, 1st shift in Rutland, Vermont

Role Summary:

The Process Engineer will be involved with the engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles within their own part of the function. Strong knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Process Engineer, you will:

  • Support day-day setups / production – Help operators with rate, set ups, and part quality

  • Update current die revisions – Update revision when inspection is reflecting reoccurring issues

  • Control inventory of dies and tooling – Work directly with the toolroom to ensure proper stock

  • Automate stages currently not setup on robot – Produces more consistent part and more uptime

  • Maintain and support robot operation – Fix robot issues when the arise and keep it running

  • Develop new NPI stages – Improve current process or support new stages when they arrive

  • Support other areas running ECM parts – Make sure other areas are trained and getting the support they need

  • EHS – Provide operators with safety improvements and area improvements

  • Update instructions and training – Incorporate any process changes in instructions and to operators

  • Work with area leaders on scheduling and manpower – Make sure equipment is staffed and running

  • Tie in with ECM leads – Verify part quality by tying in with ECM staff on job set ups Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing) Desired Characteristics:
