Core Roles and Responsibilities
Develop existing and targeted strategic clients in line with medium and long-term business objectives
Market research, identifying new opportunities and markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and voice of customer for new solutions
Support the development of Industry and O&G segment service offering value propositions and their communication to customers through the sales teams’ proposals
Provide inputs to the marketing function to develop market strategy and priorities that will support implementation of the business development plan.
Develop strong industry networks, including through attendance at industry events
Plan and coordinate sales campaigns
Work directly with the sales team to develop the service orders pipeline.
Other Key Tasks ...
Create and present business presentations to all levels and interface with other departments and functions
Value propositions: In conjunction with the service sales leader and key account manager understand the account strategy and our competitive position
Assist sales with the presentation of proposals directly to the customer where appropriate
Markets & Geography: Cover a variety of service solutions associated with the Industrial and Oil & Gas segments, primarily in support of an installed base of power electronics equipment, drives, control and automation systems.
Provide support for solutions and services delivered out of the UK.
Activity will primarily be in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and the ANZ regions, with the opportunity for some overseas travel
Required Qualifications
Degree level in an appropriate subject
Industrial/Power Conversion background
PC literate and familiar with Microsoft tools, Salesforce and SAP
Desired Characteristics
Experience in capturing and interpreting customer requirements
Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic approach; good team player and effective communicator
Thorough, proactive approach to work, with a ‘sense of urgency’ to deliver quality ‘on-time’
There is an expectation that domestic and overseas travel will form part of the job
