Job Description Summary

The Service Technician is responsible to perform services and maintenance activities on various customer sites in the Netherlands. This includes all types of maintenance services (i.e. preventive and corrective), maintenance facilities, and coordinate with his team lead and other support functions. You will be part of a team that operates the Haliade-X prototype including participation in test and validation programs and improvement/optimization projects to streamline performance and serviceability. Role summary purpose

The Service Technician is responsible to perform services and maintenance activities on various customer sites in the Netherlands. This includes all types of maintenance services (i.e. preventive and corrective), maintenance facilities, and coordinate with his team lead and other support functions. You will be part of a team that operates the Haliade-X prototype including participation in test and validation programs and improvement/optimization projects to streamline performance and serviceability. Driving operational excellence, quality and safety is key priority for this role.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of all local regulations and directives for occupational safety and GE safety and quality guidelines

• Work independently in teams on preventive and corrective maintenance, implementation of retrofits and modifications including fault analyses documentation and reports

• Support the leadership team on the day to day planning tasks and participate in process & quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to your team lead.

• Coordination of external and internal service providers and contractors on site.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• professional education/apprenticeship in an electrical technical discipline with professional experience or other additional education (for example EFFT) to cover an electrical background

• Distinct quality and safety awareness, technology foresight in identification and solving of failures, deficiencies and issues.

• Structured/methodical work behaviors and technical analytical proficiency

• Fit to work at heights

• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment, remote teams, strong team player

• Fluency in English language

• Full presence at work location is Maasvlakte near Rotterdam, NL

• Ready to travel domestic and international

• Valid driver license

Desired Characteristics

• Proven on/offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline

• High motivation level; self-starter with leadership and communication skills

• Proven oral and written communication skills in English

• Interpersonal and leadership skills

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team

• Advanced / solid knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems and general computer systems / applications like MS-Office
