Job Description Summary

The lean transformation leader plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and has direct responsibility for achieving results together with his/her plants and functions leaders whose partners with. He/she is able to constantly tune himself/herself to the business priorities, catching opportunities and anticipating problems, he/she needs so to adapt the effort of a lean team of experts so to meet KPI’s targets levelling out the workload and planning for the future in a timely manner.

This person is a strong coach for his/her peers, including extended organization exponents even at higher ranking in the hierarchy – must have a strong leadership and credibility so to captivate operational leaders in the willingness toward lean.

He/she promotes actively and genuinely a culture of improvement, balancing the challenging the status quo with a deep understanding of ‘’what good looks like’’ in the current environment.

This key team element is master in Lean techniques, especially in problem solving tools and has proven ability in coaching and mentoring others. He/she has proven experience in driving turnaround in complex contexts, translating previous experiences in flexible support for our environment, master in agility, resilience and flexibility.

Drives targeted functions toward improvement in order to achieve KPI’s objectives.

Understands, deploys and structures a lean standard work to transform the way of work.

Knows how to talk to every level of the organization, able to help anyone to improve ‘’their future self’’ in their lean journey.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, in conjunction with functional and plant leaders, roadmap to achieve excellence in targeted KPI’s, select critical projects to whose he/she contributes with a pool of experts.Leads Hoshin Kanri sessions, with various levels of the organization, leads the teams in developing action plans in a cross-functional fashion, represents a key connection in the catch-ball process between different HK stakeholders.Drives the transformation, influences the development of strategy for growth of our people and designs experiential and formal training plans for our next leaders, Expands our internal lean academy to our suppliers.Excellent architect of lean systems based on theoretical basis, he/she knows how to translate the theory in a rightly adapted business system for AvioAero operations.Captures training needs and set up development plans so to provide the right skills’ growth within the organization.Designs, develops and execute training in first person as needed by the different functions.Identifies gaps and opportunities for learning, drives learning step change including benchmarking.Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. The lean transformation leader interprets internal and external business challenges, leads the lean transformation inside the operations and leverage on best practices to improve our processes. This role is a guide and a mentor for the leadership team in his lean practitioners journey. Coaching tools and TIPOC must be perfectly known and proven practices is required.Exemplar change agent must lead innovation in both standard of work and habits of the organization, using strong interpersonal skills, ability to interpret people’s needs, context and needs of change.The lean transformation leader identifies opportunities for lean projects, defines a lean roadmap along with the functional leaders and develops key competences within the organization, brings new competences, training in first person key stakeholders at various level of the organization.This role requires a master ability in:·Bowling chart deployment and KPI roll out·Problem solving tools·Daily management system·Coaching framework and more precisely coaching capability within the organization·Lean basic tools·Data analysis and problem solving tools at its widest range
