General Electric Lead Engineer – Aeromechanics in Rivalta di Torino, Italy
Job Description Summary
The Aeromechanics Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment.
In this role you will utilize your engineering experience / expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals in the broad context of the aeromechanics for Low pressure turbine domain, which includes Linear and non-linear forced response analysis, HCF margin evaluation, Linear and non-linear Flutter stability assessment
• Support and execute aeromechanics analysis as needed by new product definition from its initial concept thru the full NPI cycle.
• Contribute to develop and advance the aeromechanics technology roadmap thru NTI programs execution
• Support field investigations from the aeromechanics prospective.
• Suggest and provide design solutions for the challenges related to aeromechanics.
• Implement the guidelines/inputs received in order to improve/upgrade design processes from the aeromechanics analysis prospective.
• According with the field lesson learnt and innovative methodology developed provide feedback to improve/align current DPs and methods.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Develop and implement training modules for new tool introduction.
Proactively support and/or execute other Engineering tasks and initiatives.
Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions.
Qualifications/Requirements
Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university.
Knowledge of key aeronautical engines layout, architecture and mechanical systems arrangements.
Experience in engineering positions with expertise on Structure Dynamics simulation techniques.
Fluency in English, both written and oral.
EU Work Permit.
The ability to produce clear, concise reports and other documentation, of appropriate quality.
