Job Description Summary
We’re looking for a professional with a technical background and a go-getter attitude. You’ll be part of the Digital Technology team, acting as a Senior Technical Product Manager for engineering software. In particular, you’ll be implementing new projects for CAD/PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and you will be responsible to define CAD/PLM best practices and methodologies.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across all the Avio Aero’s sites in Italy, Poland and Czech Republic but also in the other European facilities of GE Aviation.

Essential Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible to provide Digital Solutions for the Avio Aero Engineering team. Your primary focus will be on CAD/PLM software, working in a worldwide distributed team.
As a CAD/PLM Sr Technical Product Manager you will:
Own and manage CAD/PLM software products to enable and support the implementation of NPI/NTI programs for civil and military applications
Manage Product lifecycle and obsolescence, develop and present business cases for investments in technologies and software products in your domain
Participate actively in planning research and development activities
Act as the team liaison with the Engineering community, proactively engaging them to ensure proper support
Elaborate and map business requirements into functional and technical solutions
Work closely with implementation teams to drive developments on CAD/PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) platforms
Interact with international, cross-business and cross-functional Agile teams to deliver global solutions for the Engineering teams
Establish strong relationships with DT counterparts across the org, Europe and US based
Apply the Agile methodology and the Scrum framework to deliver solutions on time and on cost
Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas
Qualifications/Requirements
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline is required
Fluent English language
EU work permit
Italian Nationality
Proven technical depth on Computer Aided Systems and Product Lifecycle Management Platforms in a complex, multi-disciplinary, globally distributed environment.
A demonstrated industry experience on PLM-related projects
Comfortable in uncertainty, able to deliver when guidelines are blurry
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in geographically sparse cross-functional teams
Able to adjust communication (e.g. level of complexity) and story to align with audience, to use relevant and appropriate presentation techniques, to respond to questions and to dissent in a constructive manner
Desired Characteristics
Technical depth and experience on Siemens PLM technologies/solutions
Proven expertise on 3D modeling of mechanical components in Siemens NX or similar software
Expertise on data governance in the PLM domain, in particular related to International Trade Compliance, IP protection and levels of military classification
Able to ensure group understanding of issues and to present rationale to affect outcomes. Able to resolve conflicting opinions through consensus
Demonstrated ability to use appropriate facilitation techniques to gain agreement or move others to action
