Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
In this role you will identify, track and analyze digital security threats as well as anticipating and uncovering cyber threats that may impact our Company. You will work cross-Sites and cross-Departments with Cybers Analysts and Experts to make Avio Aero more secure.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Continuously improve cyber frameworks and incident playbooks
Definition of new architectures as well as the support to the Compliance Team in preparation and during Audit activities, ensuring the implementation of the mitigation actions
Collaborate with GE Aviation CyberSecurity Team in USA, creating synergies, agree on common frameworks, strategies and propose new solutions
Handle any imminent threat of current violation of the organization’s security policies or standard security practices. These security incidents include Malware, Ransomware, Phishing, Advanced Persistent Threats, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
Lead Cybersecurity initiatives according to the current ITALY/EU regulations from cybersecurity perspective (example NIS EU/Italy, FAR/DFARS and NIST) and every new regulatory request from USA/EU/ITALY
Support internal Products and Applications Owners for any cybersecurity review including specific Military Project
Benchmark on new technologies, according to the GE Aerospace standard framework, to guarantee data protection and to comply with MOD/DoD regulations (Cybersecuirty Maturity Model Certification and Perimetro di Sicurezza Nazionale Cibernetico)
Lead architecture review from CyberSecurity prospective including Cloud solution on these providers: AWS and Azure
Contribute to strategic initiatives in cooperation with GE Aerospace Digital CISO organization
Perform compliance assessments for Digital products/applications and processes according to the GE / Avio Aero regulations / policies
Work with all the key internal Digital Technology stakeholders as well as external ones like HR department, Legal Department and Compliance Department. The target is to create a process that ensures compliance to relevant technical regulations for our business and its products, while delivering on our customers’ expectations in a timely way.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent
Strong professional experience in CyberSecurity, identity management and access control
Strong professional experience in CyberSecurity, security operation and security by design
Deep knowledge of Project Management methodology
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Focused on objectives and delivery disciplined
Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
Effective team player and contributor
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge on IT Architecture and Infrastructure and the most relevant Technology trends
Ability to influence and build consensus with other teams and leadership
Strong oral and written communication skills
Competencies in Agile and Scrum Methodologies
Able to use Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change
Motivated to grow, proactive and able to set own action plans (Independent in work activities and execution)
