General Electric Lead Engineer- Mechanical Component (Multiple positions) in Richmond, Virginia
Essential Responsibilities:Lead Engineer – Mechanical Component will be responsible for supporting ITO (Inquiry to order) and lead for repair projects. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for providing technical support during outage execution, major and minor upgrades, GRS projects performed in the Americas region. The lead engineer will collaborate within the global steam product line engineering teams for product support and technical risk assessments. Regional support for FSI, TIL/CIB, recommendations during outage planning and execution. Reverse engineering competencies for oOEM parts design using Geomagic design X, Catia V5, VPDM, and parts structures in RPDM. Project execution lead engineer for CM&U upgrades and complex repairs for OEM and oOEM steam turbine projects. Be part of and support product design reviews for complex upgrades and repairs. Disposition product/process non-conformances and support implementation of corrective/preventative actions. Collaborate and integrate with steam product line service engineering teams for product design support.
Qualifications/Requirements:Position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in engineering (any), and five (5) years of progressively-responsible, post-bachelor's experience in a related occupation. The position also requires: five (5) years of experience in steam service engineering in upgrades and repairs; and steam turbine service design for rotating and stationary components, including catia, vpdm, and rpdm software tools.
One (1) year of experience in geomagic design x tool for ooem reverse engineering.
