Job Description Summary
At Onshore Wind (ONW) International, we are in the process of a Quality Transformation focusing on people, process and systems. The Quality Program Management Leader will report into the Quality Leader for ONW International and play a pivotal role in this transformation journey by supporting accelerated resolution of emergent quality issues by demonstrating an end-to-end ownership.
Standing up a cross-functional tier team within 6-72 hours of issue identification, based on Customer Impact Number (CIN) scores
Developing an integrated program plan and running an operating mechanism to minimize CoPQ impact on GE for the assigned issue… which includes:
Roll-out of internal and external communication material within 6-72 hours of issue identification
Working with engineering teams to kick-off the root cause investigation action-plan, including establishing the list of impacted turbines
Supporting project controls, project finance and controllership team with necessary operational inputs as single point of contact on the assigned issue
Partnering with Project/Region Quality Leaders and Project GMs to minimize the impact of the issue on On-time (handovers), Cash Collection and Op Profit
Representing the cross-functional team and related operational impact of the issue at VP level reviews
Evaluation of potential recovery options (supplier / sub-contractor / insurance) while supporting region quality leaders in the implementation of permanent corrective actions (PCA) into respective functional standard work
Qualifications / Requirements:
Holds a degree in Engineering, with 8-10 years of experience and a keen interest in switching to or growing within the Program Management / Quality functions
Experience working in project/program management roles or field and fleet based roles along with PMP certification, is desirable.
Experience independently managing initiatives in a cross-functional, global setting.
Strong inclination to “own” an issue and drive it to closure
Ability to maintain clear thinking and focus during crisis with strong communication skills
Basic understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies, along with the willingness to learn with urgency
