General Electric Productivity Operations Leader in Richmond, Australia

Job Description Summary

The Productivity Operations Leader reports to the APAC Productivity Leader and serves as the regional Subject Matter Expert for productivity initiatives, driving operation KPIs and conducting TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) audits involving Onshore Wind field services.

You will be responsible for deploying process improvements, operational process changes, engineering solutions, and digital tools across ANZ sites to improve profitability, efficiency, and customer outcomes. In order to succeed in this role you will have the ability to oversee and motivate cross-functional teams to adopt productivity initiatives, diligently track program adoption and financial impact, and be a flexible team player.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Accountable to meet the sub-region productivity targets.

  • Identify new productivity opportunities, drive them within the region, and solicit cross-functional support as needed.

  • Deploy productivity initiatives by collaborating with network of service area site managers and directors, the regional operations team, and global productivity initiative leaders.

  • Partner with the finance team to evaluate site operational costs to assess program adoption and recognize financial impact of productivity initiatives.

  • Develop thorough metrics, scorecards, and control plans to measure and sustain productivity improvements.

  • Pace financial impact and address risks or opportunities to meet both quarterly and annual productivity targets.

  • Review ongoing performance compared to targets and take corrective measures and escalate issues, if necessary.

  • Improve program effectiveness by leveraging lessons learnt across sites to drive better program adoption within the region and with the global productivity team.

  • Conduct site and region level training to ensure swift adoption of newly created productivity initiatives.

  • Provide support to field teams where needed to enable customer adoption of latest initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum of 2 years of operations or project management experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 4 years of onshore wind field services experience, would be highly regarded

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to influence cross-functionally to drive change.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Experience driving variable cost productivity initiatives to optimize profit margins.

  • ​Team player able to drive solution-based approaches to capture productivity opportunities and remove barriers.

  • Experience tracking operational costs and productivity improvements.

  • Demonstrate high degree of flexibility.
