Essential Responsibilities:

  • Project management activities related to the supervision, organization and execution of hydro automation projects related to scope, schedule, cost & quality in compliance with contract requirements and GE standards.

  • Engineering & design activities related to hydro control and governor projects. Activities include control system hardware and electrical designs, programming/configuration of PLC and HMI systems, development of supporting technical documentation and site commissioning.

  • Commercial quotation activities including the development of technical descriptions, cost estimates and project schedules

  • Utilizes in-depth technical knowledge & experience and analytical thinking to formulate solutions.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how to leverage in role.

  • Uses sound judgment and has ability to conceptualize alternative solutions to support problem solving initiatives.

  • Uses internal and external sources to arrive at decisions.

  • Works in close collaboration with engineering, contract management and commercial operations

  • Communicate directly with internal and external customers, evaluate on-site project conditions during tendering phase

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in PLC-based control / automation systems

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 15% of the time both within the US and Canada

Desired Characteristics:

  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude

  • Communication Networking experience

  • PMP Accreditation or established/demonstrated project management skills/experience

  • Proficiency in project finances, planning and scheduling

  • Detail oriented; ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • AutoCAD experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proactive and responsible personality

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office

  • Ability to work within a matrix work environment with remote teams

  • Be fluent in English language (reading, writing and verbal expression)

The salary range for this position is $83,250.00 - $138,750.00 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for variable incentive compensation.
