Responsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

The C&C Site Manager, reporting to the Construction Leader, will be responsible for the on-site execution of hydro turbine/generator projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to EHS planning, execution strategy, schedule, cost tracking, and site resource planning. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of varying complexities, and resolve issues through immediate action and/or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities:
Development and adherence of the OneGE Safety Outage plan;
Scope management in planning, organizing, and supervising field team;
Closely interact with project planner in the development and maintenance of resource-loaded schedules;
Manage costs incurred and forecasted;
Work with multi-functional project team and understand all deliverables that could affect field execution;
Prepare project location prior to field team mobilization (i.e. infrastructure, tooling, etc.);
Actively participate in design processes, development of new lessons learned, and the Feedback of Experience process;
Manage site documentation (i.e. Quality, EHS, daily reports, time-keeping, expense reporting, etc.)
Actively participate in defining special tooling requirements with the Methods & Special Tooling team;
Promote margin-improvement opportunities, cost-optimization initiatives, and additional scope opportunities;
Contribute to the training program, as required;
Travel approximately 70-100% of the time, as needed.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or management field (or equivalent experience);
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Hydro turbine & generator field execution
Desired Characteristics :
Field Management experience;
Power generation experience;
Cost control experience;
Experience with technical concepts (including Hydro Machines, turbines, generators, etc.);
Excellent leadership skills;
Strong EHS culture;
Must be proficient in English;
Valid driver’s license.
Project Management experience;
Bilingual (English & French).
