Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects in francophone SSA for Gas Power Services
Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups. Uses prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Works closely with Commercial Operations team and Customer Service Leaders in proposal development, deal structuring, pricing and negotiations
Establishes and maintains winning customer relationships and ensures GE is listed as supplier by target customers
Utilizes Lean methodologies to improve proposal process
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related discipline from an accredited university or college
Minimum 3+ years of Sales/ Commercial experience, including market economics, competitive issues, technology and projects, preferably with minimum 2 years in Power Generation or Oil & Gas industry
Work experience & Market expertise in Sub Saharan Africa.
