General Electric Senior Account Manager - Digital Manufacturing in Remote, South Carolina

Job Description Summary

Responsible for identifying sales opportunities within existing and new accounts as part of a named account package, identifying, managing and solving outcomes collaboratively with clients while meeting milestone deadlines for customer accounts among other responsibilities. Will also drive key activities, including prospecting new logos, strategy planning, executive relationship development, discovery assessment, pilot “trystorms”, strategy roadmap versus customer outcomes, GE Digital ecosystem coordination, etc.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross functional teams in all GE businesses to drive and lead growth in manufacturing software, services, and outcome-driven revenue generation. Partner closely with leaders to drive the creation and development of an overall sales readiness vision in the context of our expanding global business.

  • Develop outcome/solution selling framework GE Digital Software solutions — tailor deal lifecycle, enablement deliverables, required resources, technology support, maturity model, sales methodology etc. in an industrial manufacturing setting.

  • Establish a deep understanding of customers’ business needs by creating value to customers for our solution footprint while becoming a trusted advisor resource for the customer.

  • Add value to the customer’s business and maintain a goal-oriented approach to the business partnership. Demonstrate to customers how they benefit by partnering with GE and how our solutions deliver results.

  • Aggressively develop and drive a sustainable commercial and solution strategy across multiple customer divisions and geographic poles that is aligned to the agreed account goals.

  • Develop and execute an Account Playbook that formalizes the “go high / go low” strategy for the Enterprise account. Where applicable, develop a joint Governance process with executive sponsorship that aligns along the following pillars – Commercial, Product/Technology, Implementation and Support.

  • Analyze sales pipeline and maintains an array of opportunities to ensure that sales goals are achieved while using discipline in forecasting on a weekly basis.

  • Actively grow and maintain a multi-year account plan that will be shared globally with parts of our business including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Professional Services, and the Development teams to ensure coordination across the business.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 10 years of selling Industrial Software in an Enterprise Capacity.

  • Minimum 10 years of selling MES software, with 2 years leveraging cloud-based manufacturing solutions.

  • Must be willing to travel 50 to 60%.

Desired Characteristics

  • Deep domain expertise across manufacturing verticals (Consumer Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage, etc.)

  • Experience with industrial software (Automation and MES) while applying in an industrial manufacturing setting.

  • Prior experience selling/attaching professional services to software solutions using either internal professional services resources and/or 3rd party partners.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Strong analytical and process skills, budget management skills.

  • Strong results orientation.
