Job Description Summary
We’re looking for a seasoned Product Marketing Manager to take GridOS to new heights and work with industry analysts, product managers, SMEs and our sales team to position us as a leader in the market. You’ll be responsible for core go-to-market activities and ongoing product success – defining product positioning through a deep understanding of the market, buyers and key competitors. You’ll synthesize information and serve as an internal and external evangelist and influencer to ensure the sales and marketing teams are equipped with the right tools, knowledge and information to properly position GridOS to win the market.

What will our new Product Marketing Manager work on?
Research to understand the market, buyer and user (their needs, alternatives and buying process) in relation to the company’s products and services. Stay on top of market trends and insights to inform product strategy and vision
Gain expert knowledge of the competitive landscape, how competitors are positioned, and continually assesses the competition to keep track of the direction in which they are moving
Utilize knowledge of the market, product, product strategy, and competition to enable the sales and marketing teams to execute
Develop documents defining buyer persona, positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, go-to-market and pricing strategy, and ensuring senior management is aligned with these
Work with internal teams to ensure readiness and to conduct successful product launches
Enable sales and marketing teams by providing training and educating these teams on the go-to-market, positioning, messaging, and differentiation.
Collaborate on thought leadership content plans including blog topics, videos, webinars, etc. based on market trends, buyer needs and product capabilities. Create data sheets, white papers, web site copy, and other collateral.
Support corporate marketing in creating consistent, highly effective collateral
Conduct win/loss interviews for products and generate quarterly summaries to educate sales, marketing, product management and senior management
Communicates customer feedback to product management and development teams to enhance existing products or product lines
Identifies external partnerships which benefit both the business and the partner and executes joint projects
Here’s what you bring:
The experience. You have 5-7 years of work experience in B2B Product Marketing and/or Product Management, preferably at a SaaS and tech-enabled services company. Experience marketing to the electric distribution utilities is considered an asset
The communication. Outstanding storytelling skills - both written and verbal; you have a knack for developing compelling, differentiated, and memorable product narratives and have coached others to do the same
The education. You have a degree in marketing, communications, software engineering or a related field. Pragmatic Institute/Marketing certification is considered an asset
You enjoy collaborating with passionate cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, product management, and marketing)
You're a self-starter with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude
Analyst relations experience with firms such as Navigant, BNEF, Forrester and Gartner is a must
