General Electric Offshore Wind Services Manager in Remote, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
The main opportunity of this role will be to lead the implementation of a Central Warehouse organization closely connected to, on one side, our Local Onshore & Offshore Warehouses and, on another side, our Main Central Warehouse in Europe.
The Project Manager in Supply Chain and Logistics in Offshore Wind Services will work closely with the rest of the Supply Chain and Operations organization on the development and implementation of all Supply Chain and Logistics flows and activities in US.
In this role, you will also connect with potential local suppliers or contractors to develop partnerships. You will reach out with other internal businesses (Onshore Wind) to benchmark our activities and find potential synergies.

The main mission of this role is:
To develop and implement the Supply Chain management strategy in US for our Offshore Wind activity in aftermarket.
To implement a Central Warehouse Organization in US for our spare parts management activity.
To integrate the US Supply Chain organization in the Global SC organization and deploy standards and processes that are aligned with those of the global organization
To set up a long-term logistics plan to ensure growth within Offshore Wind Services market.
To define and harmonize processes and logistics flows to offer best-in-class service to internal and/or external customers, to meet their requirements and delivery expectations.
To continuously improve the “order to delivery” process and create new processes to support new business opportunities.
To have a pro-active approach with local suppliers and contractors to help us developing our activity.
To find synergies with other businesses of the GE organization to optimize the costs, learn from them and implement best practices.
To interact with customs from the U.S. side and define proper process to manage customs duties in US
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, business development, Project Management, etc.
Minimum of 3 years of extensive experience in a similar position with expertise in supply chain, logistics, project management or related activities in aftermarket.
Experience in offshore or energy industry is needed.
Native English language
Good understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics process.
Proven ability to build up an organization within a complex logistic environment.
Able to approach a growing business strategically and able to translate the supply chain organization needs into an optimal and efficient logistics flow for the organization.
Able to think conceptually and able to see opportunities to improve processes.
Able to work independently and remotely.
