Job Description Summary

The Item Master Engineer supports the processes regarding the engineering related part attributes and their changes in PLM and ERP's of the GE GP Parts organization

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Item Master database in Oracle ERP from engineering perspective

• Set up the main attributes of the part numbers in Oracle ERP through the templating process which defines the product in ERP

• Support the Change Implementation process by applying the feedback from PLM to Oracle ERP

• Participate in the Change Control process in the engineering database PLM, related to GE part numbers and Vendor Part Numbers too

• Support the functions utilizing Oracle ERP (Material Management, Sourcing, Finance, other Engineering teams, IT, process excellence team, etc.) in ad hoc requests and projects related to the Item Master

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Technical University or Collage Degree / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Must be able to read drawings and have familiarity with Bill of Material structures

• Must be proficient in Writing/Speaking/Reading in English

• Ability to work in a matrix environment

• Pro-active approach to problem solving

• Detail oriented and organized team player with strong sense of ownership

• Ability to quickly and effectively learn business operating systems
