Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our multinational organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tax function in the UK, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring tax compliance across all countries. The Senior Tax Manager will report to the UK Tax Leader and work closely with the finance, legal, and compliance teams.
Job Description:
Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies across the UK to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations while minimizing tax liabilities.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and/or external tax return preparers to ensure compliance requirements are timely met, including coordinating information requests between internal/external stakeholders and reviewing GE Vernova inputs/tax computations for all entities in defined region;
Manage and oversee all tax compliance activities, including tax returns, transfer pricing, and withholding tax.
Work with the global tax team to ensure consistency in tax policies and procedures across all regions.
Provide guidance and support to the finance and legal teams on tax implications for business decisions and transactions.
Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws and regulations in the UK and provide recommendations for proactive measures to address any potential impact.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize tax planning and identify opportunities for tax savings.
Identify areas for process, systems, reporting improvements to ensure adequacy and function of all tax compliance programs and initiatives within areas of assigned responsibility; and
Collaborate across GE Vernova Tax Operations Team to provide training and share best practices.
Drive and be involved in global projects, interact with cross-functional teams within the organization
Supervise and train newcomers and analysts
Additional tax related tasks as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree / or equivalent knowledge or experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Significant relevant experience in tax, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of European tax laws and regulations.
Written and verbal fluency in English.

Experience in managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
