General Electric OWS Tool and Equipment Management Specialist in Remote, China

Job Description Summary

Tool and Equipment Management Specialist is responsible for the management of tools and equipment in GE OWS Shanghai, including but not limited to their receiving inspection, inventory check, issuing, packing, returning, regular inspection, maintenance, repairs, scrap and compiling, filling, and archiving their records.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Receiving inspections of tools and equipment, including the one new purchased, loaned, and returned from use, calibration, repair or load test.

  • Registration, counting, issue-out and return of tools and equipment, and checking and counting during handover.

  • Management of calibrated tools and equipment.

  • Packing of tools and equipment before they are shipped out.

  • Regular inspections, maintenance and repairs of tools and equipment per technical requirements from engineering.

  • Scrapping tools and equipment per company procedure when necessary.

  • Maintaining communication and coordination with external vendors, as well as supervision and acceptance check of on-site services provided by external vendors.

  • Compiling, filling, and archiving files for tools and equipment.

  • Lead 5S in tool cribs and storage area of special tools and equipment.

  • Data entry of ERP systems;

  • Routine communications and report to Tooling Management Department in HQ.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Over the age of 21.

  • Graduated from full-time college or above in a Science or Engineering major.

  • Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.

  • At least 2 years tool and equipment management experience.

  • At least 1 year calibration management experience.

  • Candidate who knows the tool and equipment management requirements in airworthiness regulations preferred.

  • Candidate who knows repair process of aircraft engines preferred.

  • Candidate with tooling engineering experience preferred.

  • CCAR-66R3 TA license holder preferred.

  • Candidate who passed Calibration Management Personnel training preferred
