Job Description Summary
We are looking for an Onshore Project Manager to lead the local scope of the Sorek & Etgal construction project in Israel. As the Onshore PM you shall be responsible for supervising the local execution scope, aligned with budget, contract, schedule and quality specifications, while optimizing the margin for GE. Additionally, you will support the Project Director and act as the local liaison between the Customer and GE.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Support the Project Director in the successful execution of the project, according to contractual obligations, project schedule, local regulations, and financial targets
Work closely with the Customer
Work closely with different stakeholders within GE such as Engineering, Procurement and Finance.
Support the selection and procurement of main site subcontractors in accordance with the agreed strategy
Manage local contractors and suppliers
Ensure project compliance with GE Spirit & Letter, local regulations, as well as strict EHS and quality standards
Support the implementation of Project Quality plan and EHS practices, for GE employees and contractors working on site, as well as local suppliers
Manage the permitting requirements and interface with local authorities in accordance with legal and contractual specifications
Support strategy and action plan to manage potential claims, assessing and minimizing potential risks and implementing corrective actions
Manage risks and opportunities, by identifying and implementing appropriate action plans
Support the development and evolution of the overall project schedule, for the allocated scope of work, as well as schedule updates to reflect progress, optimize work and resolve problems
Co-ordination of all local activities for the allocated scope
Support the PD in reporting of project progress (including financial) with clear identification of key issues which impact, or may influence, the project success
Capture return of experience and best practice
Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with customer, partners, suppliers, and subcontractors
Qualifications / Requirements
Engineering degree from a credited university
Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing infrastructure projects
Experience in negotiating complex contracts and sound commercial knowledge
Project management skills, including planning and cost control
Knowledge of the Israeli energy market and supply chain practices
Fluent in English and Hebrew, both verbal and writing
Previous experience working in an international company – an advantage
Project Management Certification (PMP, IPMA…) – an advantage
Health and Safety leadership experienin high-risk project environment – an advantage
