The lead performance engineer is responsible to address issues regarding the thermodynamic response of an aircraft engine.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support and analysis onparametric studies regarding the interaction of the different component of the engine.

  • Is capable ofunderstanding the effect of different ambient conditions and perturbations, and efficiencies and flows, on the overall performance of the engine.

  • Identifiesphysical effects that cause significant changes inthe performance of an Gas Turbineengine.

  • Is capable ofeffectively communicate and present her/his investigations and results in forums with highly specialized professionalsprovidingtechnicalrecommendations to the customers.

  • Uses statistical tools to provide answersas well as physical interpretation and impact on engine performance.

  • Looks for creative solutions and constantly finds ways to improve the quality and response time of her/his work.

  • Has the ability to meet short/long term business and customer needs.

  • Has the ability to mentor others onrelated field

Required Qualifications

  • Aeronautical/Mechanical/Energyengineering. Bachelor’sdegree.

  • Fluentand effective communicationin Englishand Spanish(written and spoken).

  • Backgroundor experiencein Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics & Statistics.

  • Problem Solving Skills

  • Programming Skills (Ms Office and one programming language like Python or C++).

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous experience in Gas Turbines.

  • Previews experience on Six Sigma methodology

  • Demonstrate ability in managing projects.
