In GE Infrastructure Queretaro (we call it GEIQ), we are looking for a Front End Developer to join one of our growing teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, results-driven, team-oriented environment. This role is responsible for programing a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop User interfaces with the latest front end web technologies

• Perform product analysis and development tasks of increasingly complex nature which may require extensive research and analysis

• Writing tested and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Develop application code and unit test ensuring high performance

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision

• Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards

• Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans

• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities

• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products

• Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results

• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

Basic Qualification and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with experience.

• Strong expertise with HTML, CSS, and writing cross-browser compatible code.

• Experience in developing reusable Web Components using Vue, Angular, AngularJS, NodeJS, React, or other web technologies.

• Experience with Azure or other Cloud platforms.

• Hands-on experience in CI/CD.

• Experience in guiding and coaching others in latest UI technologies and frameworks.

• Capable of independently researching and exploring new technologies and their implications within projects.

• Should be a quick learner and be able to work independently with minimal or no support in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, in English and Spanish.

• Able to legally work in México.

• Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments.

• Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems.

• Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks.

• Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective.

• Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions.

• Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas.
