Roles and Responsibilities
Contributes to the activities of the teams across rotational assignments paired with formal classroom studies.
Partners with teams from within the business unit to specify needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes.
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Contributes to a wide variety of projects and assignments to grow leadership skills, business acumen, and technical skills.
Works within a team setting and / or under guidance from Assignment Manager.
A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Bachelors /Master’s degree in relevant Engineering disciplines (Mechatronics, Electrical, Electromechanical, Controls) from an accredited University or College. Exceptional candidates with undergraduate degree may be considered.
Maximum 1 year of professional experience
Legal right to work in Mexico. GE will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visas.
Preference will be given to persons with 90/100 overall or higher GPA.
Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing.
Excellent academic records (scholarships, travel bursaries and research projects are a plus).Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering.
Demonstrated an analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility.Strong mathematical and analytical abilities: excellent command of numerical methods, college-level Mathematics (algebra, calculus), college-level Physics, knowledge of technical drawing and Engineering computing tools
Excellent Spanish and English communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
Demonstrated teambuilding and interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment.
