General Electric Electrical Systems Lead Engineer (E3) – Advanced Controls & Accessories in Queretaro, Mexico
Job Description Summary
As a Lead Engineer in the Advanced Controls & Accessories organization you will work on leading the technology maturation process for new technologies for our new generation of commercial aviation products. This position is for Electrical Systems projects that follow the Technology Readiness Level maturation process within the Advanced GE Aerospace programs.
You will be involved in working with different disciplines besides Electrical Systems such as Fluids Systems, Software, Controls, and Prognostics and Health Management. Including coordination of external parties for project development such as local universities and government initiatives and our Global Research Center in New York.

Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the RISE engineering team and ensure on time delivery on Technology Maturation Items, as well with the overall advanced technologies organization to define expectations
Develop system level requirements according to best practices
Lead and execute the New Technology Integration process through the Technology Readiness Level assessments in the corresponding technical forums
Innovation mindset to translate conceptual design to a solid test plan based on new technology requirements and application
Establish and execute a short-term plan to meet program milestones
Effectively support the Engineering organizations, meeting the KPIs and business targets defined (such as OTD, FTY, Savings, budgets) as well as identifying leading indicators
Maintain a strong awareness of Planning within the team to ensure the on-time completion and technical excellence, of work milestones and reviews, appropriate use of resources and consistency of status reporting across engineering disciplines
Close collaboration with engineering organizations (local and global) towards a clear vision and short/long term priorities alignment
Work with suppliers (NDA, RFI, technology evaluation, MRL evaluation, testing results analysis and validation)
Maintain resource flexibility to adapt to the dynamic environment
Review others work and assign activities to meet project and program goals
Promotes team development and strategic growth
Mentor and coach leadership pipeline
Collaborate with global peers/teams towards a Lean execution. Drive Lean ideas internally
Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or equivalent engineering/science degree
Experience working with on New Product Introduction, New Technology Introduction, or similar processes
Preferred experience executing Technology Readiness Level assessments
Comprehension of technical subjects in electrical engineering, electronics engineering and/or software engineering
Engine certification process experience, Tollgate Reviews experience
Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
Demonstrated outstanding technical skills and experience aligned with the team’s scope
Demonstrated skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close, and manage tasks
Excellent presentation skills
Able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation in English
