General Electric AEO Electrical Systems Engineer (E2) in Queretaro, Mexico
Job Description Summary
AEO (Aeroderivative Engine Operations) Electrical Systems is in charge to support Electrical Components (Sensors and Electrical Harnesses) through their life cycle, from NPI, through EIS and Overhaul as well as supporting Manufacturing and Field for Aero-derivative Engines.
Activities include contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
Roles and Responsibilities
Execute, with minimal guidance, the analysis, design, test and/or integration related to assigned components, assemblies or process systems that meet business standards, practices, and procedures, and meet the product/program requirements.
Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned Teams; mentor others in the organization.
Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Create program plans considering technical, schedule, cost and requirements. Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments. Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
Lead the solution of complex technical problems and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
Utilize Lean methodology to improve current business products and processes.
Check own and other people’s work
Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
PHD without experience, or MS degree plus 2-3 years of experience, or BS plus 4 years of experience. (Degree must be in engineering: electrical, electronic, mechatronics or related field).
Experience managing projects with full ownership
English fluent conversational and written.
Strong knowledge of Electrical fundamentals
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Supplier management and component qualification experience
Knowledgeable of Sensors or Electrical Harnesses
Expertise in influencing executive decision makers
