EHS manager for GE HRSG DQ factory in Quang Ngai, Vietnam. The position will manage day to day EHS activities on site, including medical and regulatory requirements. She/He will lead an EHS team with several specialists to influence and coach related factory functions on GE and local EHS requirements. The role required a strong EHS leaders with knowledge, operational engagement, leadership and passion on protecting people.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Individuals located at GE manufacturing site and provide day-to-day EHS support
Manages a medium team of senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and lead implementing best practices to improve business EHS performance and defenses
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex EHS cases impact or potentially impact to business operations and employees' safety
May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular EHS topics
Lead deploying EHS roadmap to enhance business EHS performance and defenses, including but not limited to training, inspection, build up procedures...
Coach EHS team to manage factory EHS operation and grow
Required Qualifications
Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
At least 5 years of experience in EHS related roles
Strong knowledge on EHS requirements and experience to operationalize EHS requirements
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills, in both Vietnamese and English
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
