The GE Aviation Compliance Leader – India will lead projects & initiatives to drive complete & comprehensive ethics & integrity program in India. The role will focus on advice & counsel, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations & GE/GE Aviation policies.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive Compliance support for Aviation India and Pune MMF site, which will include –

  • Engage the Business / multiple Sites Leadership to ensure that the businesses/P&Ls meet all GE policy compliance & regulatory excellence responsibilities. Run Compliance Review Boards/ Monthly Operating Reviews at site level and business level and provide inputs into the broader compliance program for the global platform.

  • One focal point for rolling out HQ and regional communications to EEs

  • Drive a proactive leadership and engagement culture to ensure that leaders are responsible and accountable for policy, regulatory excellence, and other compliance initiatives. Provide the Leadership team with appropriate indicators of compliance health. Support business leadership in driving the open reporting culture.

  • Owning and developing India’s compliance network

  • Own & drive Statutory Compliance for Pune MMF Site working across functions

  • Drive Risk assessment & abatements, Compliance Health Checks in India

  • Coordinate with chief Ombudsman and local site ombudsman to support open reporting process, leading or assisting with investigations. Retaining oversight on and escalation point for overdue corrective actions, aged investigations and GE Learning trainings

  • Provide training support to the business on GE’s Code of Conduct - The Spirit & The Letter, other regional and business policies, regulatory excellence and compliance initiatives

  • Coordinate with relevant business owners to conduct regular audits of Compliance areas and support business in driving requisite improvements/resolutions for issues identified

  • Coordinate with business owners to identify and resolve Compliance-related procedural issues and areas of improvement and ensure remediation actions plans are established, implemented and tracked through to closure

  • Partner with Regional and Business Compliance leaders to roll out and implement strategic priorities

  • Maintain visibility of important matters to the global compliance office utilizing the local compliance leader/rep network

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in law and/or advanced degree in law

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance

  • Fluent in English, hands on with MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
