Job Description Summary
The Sr Software Architect - Digital Workplace will be a technologist focused on architecting, scaling, and deploying Digital Workplace products across GE including GE's Microsoft 365 (M365) footprint
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
Engage with GE business unit partners and 3rd party vendors (e.g. Microsoft) to ensure products meet GE's requirements
Partner with other GE IT organizations to develop a deployment plan for new Digital Workplace technologies
Manage Microsoft 365 (M365) administrative functions including but not limited to Group Based Licensing (GBL), Conditional Access, eDiscovery, Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Digital Workplace technologies for other teams in GE that wish to consume products from our portfolio
Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) of emerging technology with business, Cyber, and compliance partners.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and 4+ years of relevant experience.
U.S. work authorization is required, we will not sponsor visa's for this role now or in the future.
Demonstrated experience managing or deploying a Microsoft 365 (M365) collaboration and device management tools at scale
Experience and significant exposure with at least one or two of the following technologies is a plus - Azure AD, Microsoft Power Platform, Group Based Licensing (GBL), MS eDiscovery center, Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Conditional Access
Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. MS PowerShell) and use of REST-based APIs (e.g. MS Graph API) is a plus
Previous experience as a M365 Global Admin is a plus
Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level
Ability to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.
Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost, compliance, technical implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.
Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
Able to lead early stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches and integrate with their legacy tech investments
Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level
Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.
Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership
