Job Description Summary
Working with site leadership and all operations, will require to maintain 100% compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and associated procedures, provide EHS guidance and technical expertise, promote and maintain a safe working environment and positive safety culture.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Caledonian management teams in ensuring compliance with GE requirements and UK legislation
Responsible for implementation of the EHS Framework and related specific Topic Elements
Participate and provide guidance to the Environmental, Health and Safety program improvement team(s)
Assist in developing, communicating, and delivering site Environmental, Health and Safety goals
Lead on site Environmental Management and Compliance Program covering PPC Permits:
Risk Assessments: Training: Legislative Compliance and liaising with Regulatory Agencies
Conduct site compliance inspections and assist in EHS program evaluations
Evaluate Management of Change Projects including concept design plans, associated processes, and equipment prior to their purchase / use at the facility
Manage waste on site and drive waste minimisation initiatives
Responsible for onsite wastewater compliance ensuring the overseeing of Effluent Treatment Plant Operations
Lead on site Chemical Management program including COSHH, DSEAR, REACH and Chemical Storage
Take leading role in driving energy, greenhouse gas / cost reduction initiatives
Assist with the implementation and ongoing development of the Safety Risk Assessment Program
Coordinate employee EHS training programs
Assist in implementing programs for the recognition, evaluation, and control of physical and chemical hazards
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
Health & Safety NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Related Degree
IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of EHS Legislation
Strong oral and written communication, computer, and interpersonal skills
Desired Requirements:
Demonstrate the ability to lead process improvements in a team environment
Chemical Process Management, Hazard and Operability Studies experience
Ability to prioritise workload commitment and multitask
Wastewater Treatment Plant Experience
